It was a dark, cold night, when I finally made it. After decades of deciphering old scriptures and ancient texts, experimenting and perfecting, I, Rufus Amadeus, at last, created the potion. The potion that would change everything. The potion after which the world would never, ever be the same.
But my creation, so precious that ordinary beings could abuse it, needed to be protected. So I devised a quest for all those that might seek it.
